Our instructors are certified FEMA instructors and designated to teach Emergency Management Institute courses by FEMA nationwide. It is responsibility of the student to ensure that their agency accepts courses taught by EMSI. EMSI is pleased to offer virtual delivery of ICS-300 in an open enrollment model, giving responders in need of ICS training a virtual option to satisfy this requirement without compromising the integrity of the curriculum. EMSI will use the FEMA ICS curriculum and will deliver the course to FEMA and other industry standards, with nationally qualified ICS instructors.

Courses will be taught live and will include interactive components. Students will receive an EMSI certificate of completion, stating that the course was delivered in compliance with the FEMA G-300 curriculum requirements. Please note that students cannot miss more than 10% of the class. If you are absent over that limit, you will not pass the course nor will any payment be refunded.

  • Duration: 6 hours of instruction per day
  • Time : 9am - 3pm Central Time
  • Materials: Electronic with the option to print or purchase student manuals separately.
  • Training Platform: Microsoft Teams

EMSI will decide 14 days prior to delivery whether the course will proceed as scheduled or be cancelled based on the number of participants enrolled. EMSI will charge the full cost of the course if a registrant cancels within 14 days of the scheduled course or does not participate. Participants are able to move their seat to another course if one is available.

Attn FLA Employees: Please be advised that we have been informed that the Florida Dept of Emergency Management and/or the Bureau of Fire Standards and Training are not currently accepting certificates for virtual training. It is highly recommended that you seek advance approval before registering for any virtual course.

NOTE: If you are using a corporate/work email (.com, .gov, or, .org) to access MS Teams, it is recommended that you ensure you can access all of the course files under your “EMSI – Guest” account a couple days prior to the day of training. If you are unable to access the files, you may supply a personnel email to karl.breedlove@emsics.com and we will add it to the Teams so you have full access. Many companies have IT policies that block users from joining non-organic Teams and require you to request a waiver (whitelist) from your IT department (this includes many oil/gas companies). This is not typically a timely evolution, so use of a personal email address may be your best workaround. We want to be considerate of your valuable time, so it is critical that students ensure they are able to sign into Teams, not just join the meeting in the link provided, and see all the files to allow classes to start and finish on time.
